New Sandbox.....

I thought for sure the new sandbox would be a hit. Nope....she didn't like putting her feet in the sand. The girls spends hours collecting rocks and mulch and putting them in piles on the porch. When I put her socks back on she was fine and ready for business!!! Madisyn enjoyed the sandbox! Maddy had a nice sleepover this weekend and I added a few more pic's. I love the picture of her and the new lizard...doesn't he look like he is posing??

Wonderful, Wonderful day!!

Hanging out in the barn loft!
Ready for bed!

Clean Room...requirement for visitors! Doesn't it look cute?

Ready for her school dance

Before her school dance??? Super cute!

What a wonderful fun filled day! It started off with soccer pictures and then a trip to Once Upon a Child for a few things for Lyza and Madisyn found a few good Abercrombie items....we then made a trip to the craft store for some iron on letters for her soccer shirt, which we also picked up some blank canvas totes and neon colored paints and iron on transfers. She had three girls stay over tonight and oh what fun we had! We played out in the fields and the barn most of the day...it was super beautiful in our neck of the woods and it appears that spring weather is here to stay! We have enjoyed the peaceful rolls of thunder the last few nights....but the green that popped up today was even more soothing! We then went to pick up her friends and headed to the pet food center...which resulted in a new "mate" for speedy gonzales! This new lizard is very tame and the girls have enjoyed holding him all night! We bought a few other animal related items, a new cage and we all came home. The new lizard is not fond of "Speedy"......so after a little fighting and bloodshed we have them in separate cages. We will slowly introduce them to each other for the next few days. The pizza delivery guy mysteriously showed up with salads, pizza and breadsticks for the girls.....then we headed out to the yard to make the new canvas bags. They turned out very cute....they then spent the remainder of the daylight hours playing in the fields, the hammock, waving at cars and pushing Lyza in her swing. We also made it next door to visit the goats :-)) We are now settling in for the evening....as the girls have youth group at 9 am in the morning. I am trying to get them all showered and organized tonight.....so that the ONE bathroom isn't so chaotic in the morning. It is enough trying to get Lyza in and out of the bathroom in the mornings! I really don't mind just having one bathroom...it just means we have to be more efficient with our time...which is not always a bad thing. We also get lots of questions because the upstairs (not including the downstairs) is smaller than what we are used to....actually it is not smaller, just the layout is not as open as our last house, which tends to make it seem smaller....however, I always know where my kids are...I always know if one wakes up scared...and I always know they are breathing. I like the togetherness....now ask me in a couple of years when they are both older and a little more demanding (though I am not sure that is truly possible) and I may have another story for you. But for now I am comfortable and content....~~ We are getting ready to start a wii bowling tournamanent....so I better be scooting along! Have a great evening/weekend!!

"Sydney"

Our Little one is growing so much!!! We received her updated medical reports and photos for the month of April a few days ago! The PDF file was so cute...this month it was a "basketball" theme and they had her in a little Jersey with a basketball and NBA backdrop! She is growing...finally up to 11 lbs. She is looking healthier with each set of photos we receive! They said her hair is pretty wild (but hey...we are used to that...right?!) and they try to slick it down with lotion and that still doesn't help! I love the wild hair and those pretty brown eyes! Thanks for all your prayers for these children! We pray they go to forever home sooner..rather than later!

BEAUTIFUL day......

Madisyn at her first track meet!!! Way to go Jets!
Walking????? Te he he!

Even the dogs had a wonderful spring day! I love Gracie's ears!

Spring has sprung and oh what a beautiful day it was!! I love spring....I think I have mentioned that before! It was a beautiful day out and we spent most of the day outdoors. After taking Lyza to the Humane Society to visit the doggies...we went to the park and then hung out at home! It is supposed to start raining tonight and we are supposed to get about 4" of rain with severe thunderstorms tomorrow night. I could do without the rain...but I do love the thunderstorms. One of our favorite pastimes...sitting out on the porch during the thunderstorms! The Humane Society field trip with Lyza went pretty well....she about went nuts with so many animals at once. She bounced back and forth from cat to cat...then the real fun began when we got in the little puppy kennels. It was so cute....her repeated "Doggie, Doggie, Doggie" was hysterical!!! She would poke her fingers in and they would lick her...and she would pull her finger out and give us her "surprised" face! Then we took her in the big dog kennels which didn't go so well......a beagle barked LOUDLY at her and it hurt her feelings....so we listened to her cry hysterically for about 5 minutes.....we know the workers pretty well and they all came running...thought one had bit her! They will learn she is sensitive to loud noises! But..we took her back in the puppy kennels and she was just fine again. What an adventure.

Madisyn had her first track meet tonight and I must say....she did VERY well! She has trouble with side stitches and she has had asthma like symptoms in the past...so her lung capacity is just not real great. She must get that from me because even though I ran track for several years....I was terrible at distance running. I was a hurdler and high jumper and anytime I would have to run more than a 400 meter..it about killed me. She ran an 800 and to be honest we didn't think she would finish......BUT SHE DID...AND SHE WASN'T LAST! She actually was about right in the middle....not first, but certainly not last and she beat about 10 other girls. We were so proud of her. She did walk a little bit....but we told her that we only wanted her to finish...whether she walked it or ran it and SHE DID!!! She has been practicing hurdles and a relay...but she didn't get picked for those events at this meet. Maybe next time. Lyza was very good at the track meet too.......she loves to be outdoors, so I think that helped. Last night we took her to Maddy's dance class and she did well and danced up a storm for the first 10 min. After that she was done.....so not a pleasant hour for us. I sat in the truck with her most of the time!

I hope this finds everyone well......!!

I've been tagged.....

I've been tagged....how does the game work? You are to name 10 random tidbits about the kiddos....then tag 10 more people. I think everyone has been tagged...so I am going to leave off t hat part!! Here goes :
Madisyn:
1. Born in Oklahoma City, OK at Tinker Air Force Base on June 8, 1996.
2. Her favorite colors are Lime Green, Teal and Bright Orange.
3. Loves sports....especially soccer and volleyball.
4. When Madisyn was little she called cartoons......TARCOONS. She did this for a long time and I just let her.
5. She called a Hotel a "Ho-en-tale"...again, too cute, so I just let her!
6. Madisyn has received straight A's on her report card for three consecutive grading periods!
7. Madisyn has a heart of gold, she is one of the most compassionate preteens I know! She doens't like to hurt anyones feelings.
8. Madisyn has a weak stomach....she has passed out four times in health class this year. Ranging from talking about anorexia to a diagram of the uterus!!!
9. Madisyn WILL hit you if you laugh at her. She has hated for you to laugh or make fun of her since she came out of the womb. It is the only time I see her get violent!!!
10. Madisyn likes to sing....she sings anything and everything, even if the words are wrong and she is off key! Lucky for me, she does actually have a good voice...but it is when the headphones are on and she is doing it off key and a little too loud that it annoys me!
Lyza:
1. Lyza is funny......she actually likes to make people laugh, and if you don't laugh when she is trying to be funny she will put her hands over her eyes so she can't see you. I thinks he is embarrassed.
2. Lyza loves animals!
3. Lyza has a temper....she will hit and kick...and has bitten once or twice.
4. Lyza weighed 6 lb 2 oz at birth and now at 16 mos weighs 21.5 lbs.
5. Lyza likes to eat...she eats anything except Jello.
6. Lyza likes to turn around in circles to make herself dizzy then falls down and laughs.
7. Lyza likes to walk with her eyes closed and run into furniture or the wall. Yes, it is funny, but we worry about her :-)
8. Lyza says "Ahhhhh" and sticks her fingers in her mouth every time she sees a cat.
9. Lyza sticks out her hands and makes a stop gesture every time she hears "Swiper No Swiping".
10. Lyza has SUPER thick and SUPER curly hair......bet you didn't know that! Te he he You cannot use a brush or comb on it.....no way no how! You can only put gel on it and pull it with your hands!!! She's in for a rough life with this hair and two white parents who don't quite know what to do with it!!!
