My firstborn Princess ~ Madisyn
Baby Sydney.....Our Sponsor Baby
It has been a pretty long day.........way hotter than I wanted it to be, but we are getting some thunderstorms tonight and it is bringing some relief in the heat.
Madisyn arrived home perfectly on time this afternoon and it gave us just enough time to get her hair and makeup done for her dance photos. She looked so pretty.....I took the opportunity to take "several" photos of her in the woods, hay and honeysuckle bushes! I can't wait to post more of them. They turned out so great!
Lyza was pretty happy to get her "Sissy" home....she squealed in delight when she saw her. Let me explain the above photo of Lyza......that is what her hair looks like when I take her ponytail out!!! It is a wild mess. The beautician recommended to me to put a silk scarf on her head at night, this would keep it from getting matted. Well...we made a special pit stop at walmart to buy a couple of scarves....and it DID NOT work out. She looked like a "superstar" trying to cover up..and she thrashed around like something was killing her. So...that idea did not work. Perhaps when she gets older.
So...the great news is.......Madisyn's camping party at the State Park has been cancelled. Yes...cancelled. The river is supposed to crest by the weekend and the campground is flooded. They are refunding our money, so I will just use that towards the birthday party at home, or whatever we decide to do. The girls campout at our house often...down behind the barn near the firepit.....they have a great time playing flashlight tag or tag wearing the glow in the dark necklaces.....but I figured they might be tired of this and it wouldn't be any fun. However, I don't think we have a choice. I will just have to get creative with new games and new things to do. The girls will arrive at noon on Friday and I will make them a special lunch, we will swim here at our house, get them all prettied up and go to Maddy's dance recital. I have heard from many that this dance academy puts on QUITE A HUGE production. If I had to base it off how spectacular these girls looked tonight...I would say we are in for a super great show! I bet Lyza will boogie her way through the whole production!!! She likes to "shake it".
Saturday we will probably sleep in....I HOPE! Maybe take them to breakfast.....then set up camp in the early morning/late afternoon and go from there. Small hayride maybe.....flashlight tag.....cheese fries over the firepit......I am sure we will think of more than enough things to do and will be fine!!
Tomorrow is Tuesday and we have NOTHING on our calendar for this day except the library!!! This is the day our pool is going up, so that will need our full attention. As I type, my little ones are konked out in my bed. Ahhhhhhh, what more could a mommy ask for? Ok....tamer hair. I admit it!
It has been a long...but fun day. My siamese is about ready to have kittens any time. We have found her hiding a few places tonight, her milk has come in and so we made a space in a corner closet, put down a garbage bag with a blanket over the top and hope she secludes herself in there. I feel so sorry for her. She really is bigger than a house. So...hopefully within a few days......Maddy will have some new kitties to share with you!!!
Have a great evening......and we will post more throughout the day!
