Weekend Wrap Up!

It's Sunday! Time for that weekend wrap up!! We actually had a wonderful weekend filled with fun, food and family! Friday night was Madisyn's "Back to School" dance, and as you can see by the earlier post she looked just darling! She went to stay at a friends aunts home for the weekend with her! Of course she called mid-dance, after the dance and after they arrived at their destination.....she did give me the "inkling" that a new boyfriend was to be found at this dance.! :-( Of course I asked all the motherly questions:

Did you hold his hand?

Did you kiss him?

Did you dance with him?

Did you get his phone number?

To which the reply was "NO, uh mother, we only dance in groups, duh!". Ok...so I'm safe for a little while longer! This boys favorite color is green....he makes straight A's and she told me where he lived. So, at least she has nothing to hide and now Chris knows exactly where to arrive with the shotgun! WHOOPS, maybe she should have left out the where he lives part!

On Saturday I did a photo shoot with my niece, Lia out at our aunt/uncles property! I got some really great shots of her....and some of Lyza too! There were dressed alike, and yes, I know in the future they may kill us, but for now it is kinda fun! A few of those photos shown below...and I will pop more up through the week. There are just so many! It is hard for me to choose which ones to show and when! SO, if you are looking for a photo shoot for your little one and are in our area, let me know!

Saturday night we had a surprise 40th birthday party for my step-mother in law at a local pizza place. She WAS indeed surprised as her mother and sister had both flown in for the occassion. We had a really great time but learned that Lyza DOES NOT like the singing of the "Happy Birthday" or clapping!! Now this child is LOUD, I guess she just doesn't like anyone else being loud. Sets her off like a ticking time bomb. Madisyn's friend dropped her off for the party, then we took her back to the aunts house afterwards since it was close. Maddy insisted on giving me the grand tour and WOW, BEAUTIFUL! I don't know what I'd do with all that space or all those pristine trinkets!!! It was beautiful though!

This morning Chris ran over to his Nanna's to meet Brian/Christine to give them the photo shoot cd....I hung around home, cleaning up....just being lazy! Since Lyza is still fighting her cold we decided against church services this morning, as I start volleyball games this week and cannot afford to be home with a sick kiddo! So I want her to be well. After lunch we took Lyza down to our little pool and I decided I wanted to drain and fill up one time before the end of summer. It is starting to warm back up......so I didn't want to let it go just yet!
