What a great week we have had at the Melvin Residence!! The weekend started off with my niece Lilly's first birthday party in Indianapolis! The drive up was long, but oh so worth it! She got so many adorable outfits and toys....it was hot, but again, well worth it to visit with family and friends. I got to see Chrissy and the kids for the second time in a week, what fun! We always have so much fun when we are together!!! And seeing my nieces and Christine is always a highlight! I just love those girls!
Sunday we headed to the metropolis of Shoals to celebrate my mom's 39th birthday (LOL, funny how that happens)....it was great to hang out with the family......I hadn't seen Brydon and LaRissa in what seemed like a million years! We had fun swimming in the pool and golf carting around! I also have family up from Florida which was awesome! They are by far some of my favorite people in the world! What a great day we had!!
We also go a visit from Amanda and Cole......isn't he growing and OH SO CUTE! We had a great day visiting, catching up and hanging out! He was crying and Lyza kept saying....SHHHH, it's not that bad.....Shhhh, it's not that bad. It was funny! She kept saying he was sad, he was scared, he was this and that. It was cute!
Allison was out to visit Madisyn in Pennsylvania this week and they had a great time and went to Hershey Park. Madisyn is now with her dad and his family at "Creation", which is a Christian Music Festival that lasts all week. They camp and it seems like it would be a really fun time.
The week has ended with Lyza being sick, which is no fun. The weather outside is gorgeous, we've been spending lots of time in the pool and playing in her "park" as she calls it. Not sure what brought on the cold, but it is a nasty one. She rarely gets sick too.....so not sure!!!
We are spending our 4th of July weekend camping! I am really looking forward to this little getaway! I love swimming at the park we are going to, pulling Lyza in her wagon and watching her walk everywhere with Puppybear Macey. She walks her everywhere.....so cute, so fun!

Above are my beautiful baby girls the day after Madisyn arrived home! Lyza was pretty happy to see her, and likewise, Madisyn happy to see her. They seem to grow so much during the summer......Madisyn is as tall as I am, and Lyza seems so much older! Thanks to my sister in law who kept her while we were away.....she took an hour and actually got a wide toothed comb through her hair! AMAZING! Thanks Mommy Trishie! It has been a crazy summer to say the least....but hopefully things are back on track soon. Madisyn went to high school basketball open gym today, and starts soccer tomorrow......so the mommy wagon is back in business again! Running to sports, and I've never been so happy to do it!
