FairyTale Princesses

These are a few photos of the real princesses in my life! I took Lyza for Easter pictures today and Madisyn had an orchestra concert! I took lots of snapshots because they looked so cute, and Maddy so grown up! Ok, who am I kidding...I take lots of snapshots regardless if they are dressed up or in their jammies!!! My back is hurting so bad!!! I need to take it easy from all this redecorating the house stuff! Our bathroom is now complete and so is our bedroom!!! The green in our bedroom turned out so pretty (that'll show Chris to not trust me with the decorating!). Tomorrow we will start in on the kitchen! That is going to take some work! I also go back to the dr. tomorrow morning so she can follow up with my back. I am certain they will refer me to a chiropractor. Then I will be heading to the mall with Lyza to meet the newest Evansville Guate-Princess ~ Gabriella!!! A few friends are gathering at the mall to have a playdate! I can't wait to see them!

Just-A-Swingin.......

Marvelous Monday.......

Ok, so today wasn't so bad! Do you like my new blog? I love it, love it, love it! I was chatting with my friend Jen and she said she wanted to start designing websites/blogs again so I gave her the go ahead to work on mine. Took her no time at all and this is what I got! I just love it! Her information is on the right, check it out and get your blog "makeover"!!! She redid Maddy's too and Madisyn was thrilled beyond belief. We loved our blogs before, don't get me wrong....but we are happy to help get Jennifer up and running!

Today was actually a pretty quiet day! Lyza slept a little later since the sun comes up a little later due to the time change. We then went through our morning ritual as normal.....then my back was aching SO badly that I put her down for her nap early, finished up a few things then went and napped myself. I was ok while sleeping....but my back was hurting terribly when I got up and moving around again. I fixed dinner, played outside with the kiddos for a little bit......now we are setttling into our nighttime routine! Although tonight we are starting to paint our bedroom. Hopefully since our walls are neutral it will only take one coat and by tomorrow night everything will be back in its place and I"ll be in my new little "sanctuary"!

Madisyn has an Orchestra Concert tomorrow night, so she will have to miss dance class. Lyza is having her Easter pictures taken tomorrow. Wednesday Madisyn has a soccer meeting......that is about as far into the future as I want to look or plan for right now! Have a great evening!

Sunshine Sunday~

Maddy and Cindy the goat.....

Today the sun was shining, melting off the new fallen snow! There was one little patch in our yard left....just wide enough and long enough for a certain set of sisters to pull each other in the snow. Well, ok, On SISTA could pull the little SISTA!!! She had fun making her loops around the small area and just laughed and laughed. Then the neighbors came over walking their goats so we had to stop and play with them. Lyza kept calling them "dogges". It was cute. I am posting a few pic's from that adventure.

Mainly we got the bathroom finished up last night and it is all done and ready to go! We started on the fireplace last night as well, and finished our glossing coat this afternoon after church. It looks good..but it is really black. My greenery and pic's on the mantle just aren't' going to get it, so some tan accents are going to have to be found!!!!

Our bedroom we have picked out a new chocolate down comforter With accent pillows in dark green, tan, chocolate. Our curtains are already chocolate in color so that will save us some $$ there.

So after we paint the bedroom/living room/hallways/lyza's room/ we will then get to my favorite room (not because I like to cook) but because it is going to be such beautiful "Light up the room" Guatemalan Colors! our rugs are stripped the colors, place mats, table cloth and

Anyway, enough rambling about my house!!!!!!

The girls were wonderful today! We went to church, out to dinner and finally came home and believe it or not, all of us crashed and took a nap! Back up in time for dinner, and bedtime routines!!!

I am hoping the rest of the painting is done by the end of next weekend!!!

We are heading into a busy weekend....of redecorating! That is the kind of "busy" I like to be! We got all new rugs, pillows and paint for our living room. We are also painting our fireplace! I can't wait until it is all finished and I will post more photos! We are also redoing our bedroom, bathroom and kitchen! We have had all "neutral" stuff since moving in and we decided we needed to personalize it a little more! Our kitchen is going to be bright and cheery with Guatemalan colors and we are putting all of our Guatemalan decor up! I think it may be my new favorite room in the house! Our living room is going to be earthtone colors (sneak peek photo below). Our bedroom was the earthtone colors before, which we are sticking too...but a nice fresh coat of paint and new wall hangings will spruce it up a little! What fun!

Since we had another snow day today Madisyn has been "drawing" our new decor in a journal all day! I must say, HGTV is addictive...... She now wants to be an interior designer...which is wonderful!!!

In Lyza news.....she went on the potty again last night and today! It is so cute! She looks so little on the big potty but we get a kick out of it! We got a new potty that says "Vaminos"..."Let's Go" all over it in Dora the Explorer!

We got lots of snow here, but it is really windy and mostly drifty!! It is pretty out, but this weather is nuts! Shorts one day, snowsuits the next! It is supposed to be back up to 60 degrees next week. I am more than sure my plants are throroughly confused! I also went to the dr. today for my bachache....I must say it was kinda nice that Madisyn could be home to babysit so I didn't have to drag Lyza to my dr. visit.

I hope you have a "warm" day!!! We have NO SCHOOL again today and wintery weather! Great Snowman weather...I am sure I'll be able to post pictures of the snowman tomorrow....I am waiting on Chris to get home and build one with the girls. Sometimes we just have to save that "pleasure" for the dad!!! HA

Thoughts for Thursday.....

This is the weather I am longing for!!!!!

Ever feel like you are just so tired you can't take care of yourself, let alone the one year old in the other room? I feel so guilty lying in my bed with her playpen in sight and Nick Jr. on!!! I guess it is better than letting her run the house and not knowing what she is in to. She is very content in her playpen too...doesn't make a fuss, just plays with the toys I put in there and watches TV..........I am down in the back, my back has been aching for a couple of weeks now and I can't get into the dr. until tomorrow. I'll be glad when they can give me something to at least make the pain go away! I've been running full force with Madisyn's after school activities, late night dance classes and Chris getting in late from work each night. I guess I am just really tired......I am feeding Miss Lyza lunch right now! She's happy about that....then she will go down for a nap, in which I will go down for one with her. I so wish she'd lay in my bed and let me cuddle her but she won't. She refuses to sleep anywhere but a playpen or her bed. No snuggling up to mom, dad or SISTA unless it is just to sit on our laps on the floor!!!!

Enjoy your day......snow on the way here! Which will make for some nice lounging weather (ha, like I need an excuse at this point!)!
