Oh Christmas Tree....

Our Tree......

Ok, so as you can tell, the artificial tree is up, not the one we bought so that we could plant!! The weather has been icky here and the real tree would not stop leaking......and it was too tall! So...it is still outside, decorated with lights and the good ole' artificial tree went up instead! Lesson learned!!

So today Chris and Madisyn went Christmas shopping! They were gone just a little over three hours and they both came home red in the face and mad!! So much for bonding time! HA! It can be extremely frustrating to shop with a preteen...and it can be equally frustrating shopping with Chris! So.....then Maddy babysat for an hour while I went with Chris to finish up Maddy's shopping! We brought dinner home, then decided that the tree would not fit and decorated the fake tree! It was fun watching Lyza sort through all the decorations and her face when we turned out all the lights and the tree was lit up! Bet she is thinking that we Americans are crazy putting a tree in our house and all!

Chris is on dayshift this week, Madisyn only has four days of school.....then Sat morning my parents are coming down and Madisyn is having her Christmas!! We are heading to Louisville for the night on Sunday and will return home on Christmas Eve after Madisyn flies out to Pennsylvania. We are then heading to a cabin for the week after Christmas. I am really looking forward to the peace and quiet and just relaxing!!
