Beth Moore "So Long Insecurity"

If you have not yet picked up this book by Beth Moore "So Long Insecurity", I suggest you do so! What an eye opening revelation it is and oh how it can speak to the heart...even when you least expect it, or think your heard does not need speaking too! You may check it out at your local library, buy a copy at a Christian Bookstore, Barnes and Nobles, Amazon.com or even Wal-Mart, as I did! Valentine's Weekend Fun.......

Happy Valentines Day.......to my Valentine!

Happy Valentines to my one and only! What a fun filled day we had tubing at Paoli Peaks with Maidsyn, Lauren and my friend Kathy (who happens to be Lauren's mama' :-) The three hour pass seemed to fly by, but we got more than our share of a workout and were exhuasted. We then went to pick Lyza up from my cousin Dusty.....thanks Dutch for keeping her...and I hope she kept you equally as entertained! (if you have pic's, email them to me). I went with Kathy to pick Lyza up after we went tubing while Chris went ahead to mom and dads to load up our stuff.......Kathy took PuppyBear Macey and "Hooper" back to Evansville to our home for us! :-))) Bet she had an experience filled trip home. Actually...the pup, and the guinea pig like each other, it is cute!!!

We are now in Washington overnight and have been swimming all night and laying in the hot tub. We made a few runs to Walmart for girlie things like fingernail polish, arts and crafts stuff.....etc! We went to Ponderosa for our V-day dinner, which I might add was delicious and we were ALL stuffed to the max! The girls and I went back to the pool late to swim laps, while Chris got Lyza down to bed....... what a fun filled, fun packed day we had!

Madisyn also bought me a bouquet of tulips, which surprised me. So very pretty red ones! We also have separate hotel rooms......the girls got to feel like BIG GIRLS and have a room next to us....while Chris and I get a Valentine Break :-)) Lots of photos to come tomorrow of anything and everything that happened over the weekend.....some, you may not want to miss!

I also will add that it was THIS day, 6 yrs ago that Chris slipped that beautiful ring on my finger at nearly midnight, just before V-day got away from us!!! We were married 3 mos later and we (ok, I) haven't regretted a minute of it! He is wonderful....to me...and to our children. What a blessing he is to us all....and to me! My life fills so complete (cliche' I know....but oh so true)! This year for V-day I got a NEW wedding set, set in silver that looks nothing like the original, because my original that I wanted was a past, present, future ring.....and now I have a ring for my past, my present and my future......and a new beautiful silver wedding set as well!

Early Valentines!

We had an early Valentines today and sorry to report, I have no photos to post! I know, you are shocked! We have had such a busy day traveling and doing things tonight that I just do not have the time or energy to download......

• Madisyn and Lauren cooked dinner for us.....then we opened gifts early because we are getting up early and heading to Paoli Peaks to go tubing, then to the indoor water park in French Lick. All that in one day and I should not only be good and worn out, but sore!! :0) My friend Kathy (Lauren's mama) is driving up to join us for the day!
• My girls got a few gifts from us tonight (last night was their big gift....the guinea pig "Hooper"...and they all got roses (including Lauren) from Chris, and we all got chocolate covered strawberries that Chris had made from a candy shop that his friend owns in Vincennes...."Charlies Candy Store"...(highly recommended for all occassions!). I got roses also, and a nice new diamond wedding set! Chris proposed six years ago....and I guess he thought it was time I had a new ring..... I love it and was absolutely stunned by it! I won't tell what I got him, it is just what he always wanted though (ha) and shame on me for contributing to his unhealthy habits at times!! Tomorrow is our gift to the family by going tubing at Paoli and to the waterpark! What fun that will be...... My cousin, Dusty, is keeping Lyza while we go tubing....then she is meeting us at the waterpark to drop her off so she can join in the fun! Thank you in advance Dusty...I know you will have a blast with her! She's very entertaining as you know! We are then heading to my grandfathers and Miss Judy's to drop off their goodies......then my friend Lynette is coming over to bake cookies and cupcakes....and decorate them! We usually do all the baking, but Lyza and Olivia will be a big help this year in decorating them! :-)
• We intend to be up bright and early to have pink pancakes with chocolate chips...and then hit the road by 9 am (which is 8 am our time.....and I am soooo not a morning person!). So....I will leave you all with wishing you a wonderful Valentines Day.....take the time to repeat as many times as possible to the ones that you love.....that you love them! It can never be said enough!
• I will surely have photos to post tomorrow, some may not be very pretty....LOL, but I'll post them anyway! Much Love to All!

Valentine Friends........

"Hooper" is the the girls Valentine gift this year! He fit into our family just perfect...he is very gentle with Lyza...and resembles her some, look at that hair!!! Madisyn adores him (she has had Guinea Pigs before and even had a litter at one time), they do make great pets and we look forward to adding him or her to our brood! He is a funny looking guy.....and he was given the name "Hooper" because on PBS there is a little guinea pig who reads to the children and his name is "Hooper", so Lyza immediately started calling him that and it stuck. I'll have to tell you a funny story about his pick up later!

What would Valentine's Day be without FRIENDS! Those we have come to cherish, those who lift us up when we are feeling down, who inspire us to dream, who dare us to dream, and then lend a shoulder when our dreams just don't turn out right! Friends are priceless and I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life...who have stuck by me through thick and thin, during my good times and my bad times......and just held on, even when I was at my worst! Thank you my dear "friends", there are many... My photos and list of friends could go on forever, but I am limited to space....so you know who you are and I am very sorry I could not fit everyone in here, but seriously, without you I wouldn't have made it through my darkest days without your uplifting spirit, kindness and understanding!!

I wanted to share my girls' friends as well....which are equally important! Friends who are in our lives for many, many years, just a short period of time, or only as an acquaintenance can impact our lives forever! What awesoeme friends my girls have....and I am blessed mostly to have their mother as friends of mine as well! Lyza is really taking off with wonderful friends as you can see.....and Madisyn, she has had the same group of friends for the most part since moving to Evansville, and they are very blessed to have each other! They are a wonderful group of girls. She also still stays in contact with friends she has to leave behind in Bedford, IN when we moved and we invite them to see us about once a year in the summer, and my how they grow each year. Again, she is blessed with so many friends and I am sure she is at her father's as well. Lyza has started off young having so many close friends.....yeah, and praise the Lord for that! What a wonderful group of friends God has chosen for each member of my family.....including Chris. He has awesome, uplifting, funny friends as well!
