Summer is here.....

Only way to beat this heat is to stay inside, or in a pool! Humidity is horrible!

We spent our weekend pretty low key. We did go to the neighbors graduation party (Ok...I sat in our yard and they came to me).... we celebrated our 7th anniversary..... and spent Memorial Day cruising the country!

I am feeling very "weak" to say the least. This medicine has made me feel like I have no muscle mass whatsoever. I am tossing up to whether keep taking it or not. I cannot go on feeling like this everyday!! It stinks. I sleep...a lot, which is unusual for me and the simplist of things wear me down so easily. Not exactly my routine lifestyle, so either surgery is going to fix this.... or I am just going to live with it without meds.

Loonnnggg Week!

Daddy went outside to discover that Lyza had pulled off all the leaves of his strawberry plants to make "BLANKETS" for the flowers that she pulled off one of the flower arrangements!!! :-) Ok...so she has an imagination!!

It has been a pretty long week.... ok, a really long week. Tuesday I had my follow up with my cardiologist and he made an appt within 2 hrs with a specialist for my heart. I had to get ahold of Chris at work so he could come and take me. I am not supposed to drive for at least 6 mos (snicker!). Anyway we were given three different options.....and for now, I am taking three cardiac medicines that, as suspected have really knocked me on my butt. Literally the passing out has been terrible...anywhere from 2-5 times per day since Wednesday. I could not work Wed or Thurs.... however I went in on Friday from 11-3, which ironically was my worst day so far. I have pretty much just tried to sleep while on the new meds....however, with the storms, tornadoes, etc that have gone through, I have had to be awake some. I got home from work yesterday and slept until 7 am this morning and I am actually feeling much, much better. The dr. said it would take 48+ hrs to get it in my system and get over the side effects.

On Tuesday I will find out what day my surgery is scheduled for. They will go in through my leg, up to my heart and try to find the problem points and will sever/burn the ends of those arteries and/or nerves. They said it could be up to a 4 hr plus surgery. It is a bit risky....so I am pretty nervous and unsure about it! I will just ask for prayers in the meantime! Normally you have to stay awake for this surgery, just under a sedative but not fully asleep. However since they are anticipating mine to be so long they are arranging for an anesthesiologist and to put me on a breathing machine. Sounds like a lot of fun, huh? yep, just how I had hoped to spend my summer!!

Well, since I am feeling better today I am going to help Chris with storm clean up. We have several trees that were split that we need to cut down, numerous tree limbs everywhere.....I won't overdo it.... but the next few days are supposed to be hot, hot!!! So....pool is going up today and we are cleaning up today as well.

Weekend ReCap!

On Saturday we had Chris' younger brothers birthday party...so we got to spend some time with family! We spent Saturday evening watching movies and lounging outside! Today we did a lot of running, got flowers planted and as you can tell below, we played with the ducks.... a lot! They are getting so big! I hope you all had a blessed weekend as well!

Thursday 5/19/75- 2011

LyzaFaith and I went to have lunch together today before school/work for my birthday! What a treat. I came into work to find the sign below with all my kiddos handprints (with a little help from Ms. Judy and Ms. Kristie :-) I got lots of goodies and it was such a blessing to hear "happy birthday" from all my coworkers (they baked me a cake too)...... I truly am blessed to be working with and for such great people. They really do get me through my tough days!! Thanks gals!!

Chris picked me up from work while his Nanna watched Lyza and we went to Logan's and I had lobster and steak...... yum! In laws came by last night for birthday wishes and goodies (thanks so much!)

And I received by courier the prettiest floral hanging basket from Jennifer all the way in Atlanta!!!! I will take pics of it in the daylight tomorrow to post them! Thanks Jen....very unncessary, but very much appreciated. It is hard to find good friends folks, I am blessed by many. So when you find someone to walk with you through thick and thin, hang on tight to that dear friend!!!!! xoxooxxo

These photos will speak for themselves! Everyone in our family had a wonderful Mothers Day! Madisyn called me at 6:15 am......and that is ok, I will take a call from her at any hour! We went up to my mom and dads for the day, I got to spend some time with my best friends and their moms (Lynette and Sharon ... Andrea and Marlene)....always a treat and much needed laughs for me. We ended the day visiting Chris' mom and had a good visit! It was a busy, busy day but OH SO WORTH IT!

Mothers Day Gift from Madisyn! Gray/White Vera Wang Scarf and Heart Necklace! I love it.... she had left it from when she was home a few weeks ago and had it hid under her dresser :-)
