Weekend Wrap Up!

Here is our weekend in photos.....backwards!!

Should be a busy week this week with school, volleyball, homework and a few other things along the way! Madisyn had a GREAT first week of school....aside from Tuesday! She actually fell off the bus......when it got to the school, she missed the last step/sidewalk and fell, did a front rollover and landed in the office getting bandaged up with the principal. It did not detour her from riding the bus again the next day (I take her three days, she rides the bus two days). She kinda laughed about it...so I thought that was pretty good for a 12 year old! Got a nice busted up knee...but nothing serious! Volleyball tryouts were HARD! We had nearly 70 girls try out in 7th and 8th grade combined...so it had to be cut to 13 for the team!! Whoa! But...we have a great team and I think it is going to be a great season! Next week we will really dig in with getting hard at practices....this week was kinda "freebie week"! I am very lucky to be working with a great gal coaching and we are going to have a lot of fun. Madisyn is also doing the speech team right now, and dance also starts this month....both at school and at the Academy so I am going to be doing a lot of running around!

Miss Lyza is into everything now....and just about repeats ANYTHING you tell her too. She has a great fascination with farm animals right now and when we put in the farm movie she screams at the top of her lungs every time a new animal is featured. Pretty funny....and as you can see from the photos below, she had fun looking at the Cows that go "BOOOOO" this weekend! She is really picking up in her talking, has her own mind when it comes to "yummies"...she must feed herself AND pick out her own food. Hopefully potty training to come shortly! Yeah!

We spent most of the weekend at home....doing at home fun things!

Below is our weekend in pictures!

Enjoy!

Cousin Mavericks FIRST Birthday! He wasn't real fond of the cake. It was John Deere themed birthday party and we had perfect weather for an outdoor party at Sarah and Matt's property! LOTS of people showed up and we had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends! He got a TON of new toys......mostly trucks....so, a playdate is in order this week so Lyza can show him how to use all those trucks! SHE LOVES TRUCKS!
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY MAVERICK!
Louisa gazing at the cow that went "Booo"

Maddy took this photo.....too cute!

Watching the Olympics. Ok...I really did not think we would all get into the Olympics this year...but somehow, we did just that! Lyza included with her Oooooos and Ahhhhsssss! We have had a great time each day/night just enjoying the quietness of the house and rooting on the USA!

Madisyn and Chris with power tools! WATCH OUT! Actually...they were kind enough to take on the project of building me a four tiered spool holder to hold all my spools of ribbon to make bows! Currently they are all in bags and unorganized....WAY unorganized. So, now I have no excuse! THANKS Chris and Maddy!

Lemonade Stand/Bake Sale.......Jordyn stayed over Friday night and last minute they decide they want to do a bake sale and lemonade stand...with a few of my bows and Maddy Moo's Flippity Flops out for sale. Did they do well, NO. Were they frustrated, YES. Ok...so lesson learned...I bet they do not conjure up this mess again for a long time! These are how memories are made....but, I'm not exactly sure it was a good memory for them :-))

Maddy before School on Friday! One week of school finished.....MOM and DAUGHTER survived!!!

Chris has been giving golf lessons to Madisyn. Maybe he wasn't clear on all the instructions. On this night, I told her to bring everything in, as it looked as if it were going to rain! So....thinking she can't hit the ball that far, she swings, hits and thud.......HITS A TRUCK PASSING BY IN THE TIRE!!! She came in to tell me in tears almost, said the guy didn't stop and all Chris asked was how much we were getting sued for! So...this weekend while mowing...he mowed a small "green" and they made a pole/flag down over one hill in our field to practice with!!!!

She actually is quite good.....Who knew???
